DEMOCRAT HYPOCRISY -- BOLTON VS DERSHOWITZ

The "Progressive" Democrats' sham impeachment of President Trump has revealed to those with open minds willing to accept truth just how far the once-honorable Liberal Democrats have sunken -- depravity is not too strong a word. Their treatment of Professor Alan Dershowitz vs. that of  Amb. John Bolton reflects both the hypocrisy and their utter lack of integrity, aka fundamental honesty, once, I believe, the hallmark of Democrats. No more!!

A commentator mentioned this morning that one's status with the left/ DP/"progressives" now depends on one's position relative to Pres Trump. Past sins and offenses are readily forgiven, if one but speaks against Trump. A long lifetime devoted to liberal positions and causes will be as readily dismissed, if one takes Trump's side on anything.

Not long ago John Bolton was universally despised and reviled by the these groups. He stood second only to Dick Cheney on their "most hated" list. Having written a tome predicted to smear and decry Trump, his status has gone from despised and reviled to the new standard bearer for truth, beauty, goodness and light. Since the announcement of his book, and the rumors that it is less than flattering to the president, he has become in a matter of weeks the Shining Knight of the Great Struggle for Honesty; the Sir Galahad of rectitude in government.

On the other hand, Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz was for many decades a strong voice for "liberal" causes. He was a vocal and effective public supporter of Hillary Clinton's otherwise ineffective campaign for the presidency. Unlike the sham "scholar," Barack Obama, he was a genuine constitutional scholar, respected by all for his knowledge and his ability to impart his knowledge to others. When he spoke out against the more than three year series of shabby investigations futilely in search of a crime or a really impeachable offense, he became a pariah among the frauds of the left. His honest and knowledgeable statements to the effect that nothing turned up in a string of investigations was either criminal or impeachable were enough to brand him a turncoat and traitor to the "progressive" movement and the Democrat Party;a latter day Benedict Arnold. Supposed friends of years' standing turned their backs on the man for whom they had, quite correctly, expressed respect and affection for nearly half a century.

How are the righteous and mighty fallen! How have the despised risen to once inconceivable heights! But where hypocrisy, dishonesty and self aggrandizing fraud are the norms and standards of behavior, as they are in too much of today's Democrat Party, such shabby and repellent conduct, and outcomes, can be expected
