MISGUIDED CRITICS -- CONG. WILSON, KAEPERNICK
By Michael Wilson
Mr. Wilson has written on this blog in the past. He is thoughtful, analytical in thought, articulate, a true wordsmith but most importantly he is a patriot. His criticism of Congresswoman Frederica Wilson in detail and of Colin Kaepernick as mentioned reflects his patriotism, but his life's story, in part here, demonstrates it unquestionably.
In February of 1968, with an honorable discharge making me safe from the draft but on a less than productive life path, I enlisted in the US Army.
I volunteered for airborne (paratroop) service, I volunteered for Special Forces. I volunteered for RVN service. I volunteered for MACVSOG. I volunteered for recon. After being fairly severely wounded, and having the helicopter which had pulled me and the other wounded team members on "strings" shot... down with us hanging from ropes underneath, I was medevacced to Japan for reconstruction of my right shoulder and then back to the States. As soon as I was discharged from the hospital, I requested assignment back to my unit. I served 19 months more in RVN, and still in SOG.
So, you hate filled nitwits who have seen fit to criticize Pres. Trump for his comment, taken out of context by a vile Congresswoman who is as full of bile and unreasoned rushes to judgment as you, hear this.
Those who participate in special ops know the dangers inherent in their chosen calling, the realities of what can happen to them, and the potential for early death. Pres Trump was absolutely right when he said that such operators know what they signed up for, but go anyway. It was true when SOG comrades and I served in Vietnam, and it is just as true for the four SF troopers recently killed in Niger. We knew, but we volunteered anyway. These men who just gave their lives in an African country that most of you could not find on the map, knew exactly what they were doing and for what they had signed up. My friends who died a half century ago, and these men who died in Niger, did it so that scum such as Rep. Wilson, and all of you who were so happy to jump on her obscene bandwagon, might enjoy the right to mock the men and women who sacrifice themselves. And, so you can jump at any chance to take a cheap shot at the president who truly supports them. Her behavior, and yours, is beneath contempt.
Don't like my remarks? Tough shit. I am out of patience with people who can iconize the likes of an overpaid, over entitled punks such as Colin Kaepernick and his friends. I have totally had it with anyone fatuous enough to believe that this president is somehow evil or wrong as he sorts out the horrible mess handed to him by the pusillanimous poltroon who preceded him. I have no use for anyone who can cede any credibility or worth to the preposterous buffoon in the sequined cowgirl hats. I have scrupulously avoided calling out the people who continue to spew hate in place of reason, but at some point an asshole must be called an asshole. If you side with this vile woman, consider yourselves one of them.
